Many HP1000 installations lie at the heart of large, complex measurement or control systems. Migration from the HP1000 to a PC-server platform can therefore be a major upheaval and expense, not only in terms of rewriting the software applications, but also in replacing the myriad other hardware connected to the HP1000.

But this need no longer be the case. We can supply an alternative to replace the HP1000 with a higher performance PC-based instrument without the need to replace the HP1000 software or operating system. The entire file system is moved transparently to the PC disk and the HP1000 processor, memory and disk subsystems are integrated into the PC hardware via a PCI co-processor. The commonest HP1000 interfaces are emulated, plus a Legacy Interface Card allows continued use of those HP1000 interfaces that remain.

This robust and reliable rack-mounted solution is an extremely cost-effective method of migration that's also capable of being rapidly implemented.
